Syed Rahman - President
Hi, I’m Syed a final year student based at Exeter. It’s my job to make sure we are here to give you all the opportunity to immerse yourself amongst those with a common surgical interest and give an insight into a surgical career choice. I’ll be working with an excellent team to ensure we build on the success of our previous committees. Keep an eye out for our regular series of lectures, revisions days, workshops, surgical skills sessions and our mentoring scheme. Get in touch with any of us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Lara Jehanli - Secretary
Hi, I'm Lara, I'm a third year medical student and the new secretary of the surgical society. I was so excited to be chosen for the committee that I went to the infamous Peninsula S party dressed as the 'surg soc secretary' (see pic)!
My aim for this year is to improve the way we organise ourselves as a committee. I want to make sure that every year the society gets bigger and better and I think this can be achieved by laying out some well organised foundations for each new EXESS committee to work from.
I am very excited about what we've got lined up for you this year! Please do not hesitate to contact me via the EXESS email address should you have any questions, or come and say hello.
