Exciting New Research Opportunity

EuroSurg are the first pan european medical student research collaborative. We follow a similar structure to the GlobalSurg project and the STARSurg collaborative. Students across european countries will come together and conduct research, contributing to big multi-centre, international cohort studies. These studies will then be published in journals, where every collaborator will be PubMed citable.

ExeSS is sponsoring an event aimed at replicating OSCE stations for 4th year medical students.

The session, run by 5th year medical students will be focussing on the more niche topics such as; Endocrine, Renal, Haem and ENT. These have been chosen as we thought you’ll be much more confident with Cardio, Resp and the more common systems. So hopefully we’ll be able to address any uncertainties.

The format of the sessions will be as such:
There’ll be 2 fifth years in each station (1 is an examiner, 1 is a patient)
There’ll be 4 fourth year students who will each take it in turns being the OSCE candidate. For instance, 1 will do Renal, the other ENT etc.
We’re hoping to allow 40 minutes per station, 20 for the station itself and then 20 for feedback. Our sessions will focus mainly on history and examination.

Due to the nature of stations and student capacity, we only have space for 16 students.
