It's been a fantastic year for the Exeter Surgical Society (ExeSS). Since its establishment in June last year, the society has gone from strength to strength. We currently have over 200 members and represent one of the largest academic societies at the University of Exeter! This term alone, ExeSS has provided over 20 lectures and micro-teaches, covering topics ranging from chronic opthalmic conditions to the anatomy of the cerebral circulation!

Unfortunately, the time has come for the current committee to move on.. and consequently a number of positions are up for election! This is your chance to be part of a fantastic and growing society, utilising your skills and passion to ultimately inspire future surgeons!

Positions available:

This is a broad and challenging role that involves taking responsibility for the society as a whole, managing handover, delegating responsibilities, and supporting each member of the committee. The president is usually the first point of contact for members, agencies within PCMD and national committees such as ASiT and the Royal College of Surgeons. Potential presidents must be organised, dedicated, and good communicators.

3. Treasurer

It is their responsibility to maintain the ExeSS email account, i.e. checking the inbox on a daily basis, forwarding messages to relevant committee members, and contacting society members. The secretary is also responsible for organising committee meetings, booking rooms, and general ExeSS-related endeavours...

Eligibility: Open to all members of all years.
